Silver X Reader - Saving a life

Silver had been in a pissy mood all day. And I didn't really know why. Usually it was easy to tell why. Usually it was weak trainers, Gold, Lance, Crystal (or Lyra. Or both), Professor Elm but mostly Gold.

He was reading a book under a tree by Professor Elm's lab. I went over to him and sat down. "Alright, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Go away, (Name)," he said.

"Let me thing about that. No," I said. "I want to know why you're out here in the cold."

"Why are you?" He snapped.

"To find out why you're so pissy," I said. "Besides it's not to too cold."

"Just go away," he said. "You're annoying."

"So are you. But I never tell you that," I said. "Come on Grumpy, why so mad?"

"Because annoying people like you piss me off," he said.

I took his book and he got mad. I quickly got up and said, "I want to know why, Silv."

He got up. "(Name), give me my book back," he said.

"Uh . . . No," I said. "You'll have to catch me."

I ran and he ran after me. He was fast but I was faster. I was winning until I slipped.

"(Name)!" Silver said worried.

I slipped and fell down to a lower platform. A cliff. I held on to the book and went back on the ledge. I looked down and all I saw was water and sharp rocks. And death.

"(Name)!" Silver yelled. I looked up and he was right there. "Hold on."

"Silv," I said. He came back and looked down at me. "I-I'm sorry. I just wanted you to cheer up."

"We don't have time for this," he said. He backed off. "Uh, Honchkrow!" Soon I saw the dark blue feathers of his Honchkrow. "I need you to go down and get (Name). She's right down there."

Honchkrow came down and I grabbed on to his legs. Like I saw Silver do a lot. It used Fly and then took me up. Where Silver grabbed me.

"Idiot," he said. "You trying to make me worried? Well good job. Don't do it again."

"I'm sorry, Silv. I just wanted to make you happy. You're always so sad and I wanted to see a smile instead of a frown."

He held me tighter. "Don't do that again."

He fell down with me in his arm. I kneeled down in-between his legs. He held me tight to his chest. He was really worried about me. That was a first.

"Silv? You okay?" I asked.

"Of course I am," he said. He got up and said, "Like I was worried about a weakling like you." I'd beaten him countless of times in pokémon battles so I wasn't weak. But to him weakness was bad and he considered everyone weak because we let our emotions get to us.

I got up and said, "Here. H-have your book back." He took it. Or rather yanked it out of my arms.

"I'll walk you home. I suppose. I don't want you falling off of any cliffs again."

I got up and he walked me home. It was awkward and silent on our way there. And the silence made it even more awkward. I wanted to thank him but he didn't seem like he wanted to talk.

I bumped into him. "We're here," he said.

I looked and I saw my mom threw the window working on lunch. He was about to walk away but I grabbed on to him.

"Wait," I said. He turned to face me and I still had a grasp of his jacket. "I know you're just going to call me weak or something like that. And you don't care but. Thank you, Silver." He looked away. "I want to say thank you properly though."

I put my arms around him and kissed him. This caught him off guard first off and then he wrapped his arms around me. He melted into it. I ran my hand threw his red hair. It was so soft.

His lips were cool and warm at the same time. Maybe because my face was burning with embarrassment. It felt like there was a Cyndaquil in my stomach. Filling it with a burning sensation. I loved it.

He pulled back and let go of me quickly. "I better get back to training."

"O-Okay," I said. "Um, tomorrow how about we have some non-life threatening how about we have some fun?"

"No, way weakling," he said. But his silver eyes said 'yeah, I'd like that'.

"Alright. I'll see you at noon at the lab then," I said.

He walked away saying, "Like I care."

I giggled. He was so cute. It can't be helped. He maybe a bad boy n the outside but he really was sweet on the inside and sometimes that conflicted him.

"So you and Silver huh?" Gold asked. I jumped and he was right beside me. "The way you're watching him leave something happened. Tell me."

"No way, Gold," I said.

"But (Name)," he whined. "I wanna know."

"You're the champion. You should act like it," I said walking away.
