Red X Reader X Green - Festival - Green

“I think I choose Green,” I said. “I mean I don’t know Red that well and I’ve loved Green for awhile.”

Gary and Ash stared at me. “Alright if that’s who you choose,” Gary said. “I hope you know what you’re doing.”

“I’m pretty sure I do,” I said.

After that we cleaned up and Ash and Gary went for a walk. I went to my room to think. Was this the best idea? I mean this was my chance. Green was giving it to me and his eyes earlier the said it all. I then went to sleep.  Figure it’s best to think of these things tomorrow.

I woke up and it was noon. How did it get so late? I got into the shower and then thought of what to wear for an hour. This was Green but I was worried about what to wear. I finally settled on some jean shorts and a nice (favorite color) blouse. I put my hair up in curls. Green always said I was cuter that way. I took my phone and purse and then left.

I went to the festival and then saw Green at the Ferris wheel. He was looking down at his phone. He snapped it shut and looked around. Completely missing me. I went up to him and he dug his hands in his pockets and sighed.

“Waiting long?” I asked.

Green jumped and then looked at me. “(N-Name)? Y-You made it,” he said happily with a huge grin.

“Yeah,” I said.

“You look so cute today. You know I love it when you curl your hair,” he said.  

“You know you don’t have to try so hard,” I said.

“Right,” he said looking away. “So, um, what do you want to do first?” Green was so nervous. This was a really different from the Green I was used to. He was really trying not to mess it up. A smile spread across my face. “What?” he asked.

“Nothing,” I said. “Like I said just be your cocky self. Usually you’d tell me what we’re doing.”

“I don’t really go to festivals so I have no idea,” he said.

“Well there are booths for games and shops, all different kind of rides and food stands. I did see an Eevee stand you might like,” I said.

“Alright let’s do that,” he said. I started to take him to the stand I saw. “You know if you get cold let me know. I’ll give you my jacket.”

“Green,” I said.

“Trying to hard again?” he asked.

“Yep,” I said. “Come on, it’s right up ahead.” I took his hand and lead him away. When we got there, Green was kind of happy.

We looked around tent after tent at all the different shops and crafts. He was oddly having fun. Though he still tried way more than he needed to. But we were having fun like we did when he were just friends. It seems we kind of forgot the romantic aspect of it all and had fun. After we looked around we went to get something to eat.

“Hey, wait here. I’ll go get us some ice cream cones. I heard it’s Castaliacones from Unova,” he said after we got done eating our pizza.

“Alright,” I said. He left and I was left alone. So far this date was going well.

Soon Green came back with two ice cream cones a chocolate one for him and a (Favorite flavor) for me. “Here you go,” he said.

I smiled and took it. “Thank you, Green,” I said. He sat down next to me.

“So you having a great time, (Name),” he asked.

“A lot really,” I said. “You know once you started acting more like yourself.”

“Yeah. I realize I’m trying too hard. It’s just once Gary told me you loved me everything changed,” he said. “The girl of my dreams liked me back.” I looked over to Green. “I know I suck at being romantic but I’m being serious.”

“Green, I . . .” I said. He looked over at me and his eyes were so soft and gentle.

“You’ve got some ice cream on your face,” he said. He leaned over to lick it off of me. I looked down and blushed like crazy. “You’re so cute when you blush.”

“Green,” I said.

He smiled. “So then there’s going to be a fire works display in a while,” he said.

“But isn’t it a little early for one?” I asked.

“(Name),” he said. “Haven’t you realized? It’s already dark.” I looked around. Holy Arceus, he was right.

“How did that happen?” I asked.

“Time flies when you’re having fun,” he said. “But I was thinking the Ferris wheel would be a good spot to see them. Ready?”

“Y-Yeah,” I said.

We finished our ice creams and then went to the Ferris wheel. We got on a cart. To save space we sat on the same side. When we were at the very top I got closer to Green. I really didn’t like heights. The made me squeamish.

“(Name), you alright?” Green asked.

“I don’t really like heights,” I said.

“Oh, we didn’t have to come here then,” he said. “Maybe when the fireworks go off you’ll feel better.”

“Yeah,” I said nervously.

But Green was right once the fireworks went off, I was fine. I looked threw my window at first but then Green’s. I didn’t even realize that I went over his lap. “Oh, I’m sorry,” I said.

“It’s alright,” he said kind of strained.

After the whole ride and fireworks, Green decided to take me home. The walk there was fine but I got cold. He put his jacket on me and I held onto it. Once we got to my apartment it got kind of weird and awkward. We really didn’t know what to do or say.

“So um, we’re back here,” Green said.

“Yeah,” I said. I leaned up and kissed him on the cheek. “Thank you for today.”

“Who said it was over?” he asked.

He grabbed me and then kissed me lightly on the lips. Soft and tender at first. His lips were cool to the touch. But then he barged into my mouth sending me in swirl of emotions. I felt like an Arcanine was in my gut and it was running around in circles. He kept me close and went threw my hair as I held onto his shoulders.

After a few minutes breathing threw our noses wasn’t enough. We broke off and we were both panting. “Green, I . . . I never thought that would be as good as that was,” I said.

He smiled. “Well I am the amazing Green Oak,” he said. “But I’m on the same boat. So then can we go on another date tomorrow?”

I smiled. “Sure,” I said.

He left and I went inside to see Ash and Gary on the couch. Ash was asleep on Gary. “So then how did it go?” Gary asked.

“It went really well,” I said. “We’re going on a date tomorrow.”

“Wow, really? I thought he’d fuck it up,” Gary said.

“Nope,” I said. I went to kiss his head and said, “Night. See you tomorrow.”

After that I went to bed. Happy with myself on how today went. I had an amazing boyfriend now. Nothing could have made today better. But then I noticed I still had Green’s jacket. I slept with it on. It smelled like Green’s cologne. I loved it.
