Iron Island was really rocky. Not that shocking. But I heard this was the best place to train with Steel types. I went with my Lucario. I’ve had Lucario since he was an egg and he was my best friend and strongest pokémon. But I wanted to spend more time with him as we waited for the Sinnoh League.

Irion Island wasn’t bad but it did seem abandoned. There were hardly any pokémon and no humans. But I did find this one area I loved. That’s where Lucario and I stayed. It had some trees and a water hole. Like an oasis in the desert but it was here. The trees had lots of berries.

But one day I saw another Lucario besides my own. It was up on a cliff looking down but it seems like after I looked at it. It ran away. ‘That was odd,’ I thought. I didn’t think much about it at the time. But after awhile it kind of dug at me. Lucario only evolved with high friendship so either someone gave it up or someone else with a Lucario was here. But I was pretty sure no humans were here.

I focused on training and then after a few hours we stopped. We made supper and ate. Random pokémon always came to get some food so I put it out for them and the rest of my team. The whole time it seemed like someone was watching us.

In fact the next two days it seemed like that. It was odd. I mean I’d check in the direction I felt it from but nothing. I was getting paranoid. Lucario knew this as well. He’d often tell me to relax. I know that in it’s self seems odd but I was a lucky human. I was an aura guardian. That’s what I was training for.

My role model was Sir Aaron. He was so amazing. And he gave up his life to save the kingdom or Rota and to stop one of the first great wars. He was the one who made it possible for humans to become aura guardians. But he was the one and true aura guardian. In fact Rota celebrated him every year on the day the Great War stopped.

But back to me being an aura guardian. I could talk to Lucario. We often had long talks about random things or important things. He was my best friend and I would never trade him away. He knew me like the back of his paw and I knew him like the back of my hand. But being an aura guardian I could do more than that. I could see aura, make barriers, like protection; a wave of healing aura, much like heal pulse; and make aura spheres. But I hid these things from people. They’d just think I was a freak.

Right now Lucario and I were going on a walk. To take more of the island in. The more time I spent on it the more I loved it. But then I ran into that wild Lucario again. It saw me and was beginning to run away.

“No. Wait. Come back,” I said running after it.

‘(Name)’ Lucario said. ‘What do you plan on doing when you find him?’

“I just want to talk to him. Learn form him,” I said. We got at a fork in the road and Lucario was long gone. I sighed. “Looks like I won’t get to talk to him. It would have been pretty cool to.”

I turned around and there was Lucario. He was with a man. The man was tall. He had spiky dark blue hair covered with a hat. He had deep blue eyes. He also wore blue jacket and black pants. Under his jacket he had a Squirtle-neck shirt with a golden design on it. His eyes were widened in shock.

“So Lucario isn’t wild,” I said. “I’m sorry I was chasing your pokémon then.”

“It’s alright,” he said. His voice suited him so well. It was deep, smooth and rather sexy. “But what are you doing on this island?”

“Training,” I said. “And you?”

“Same. But why train here?” he asked.

I got closer to him. “Why are you training here?”

“Look this place is dangerous,” he said. “It’s not suited for a young lady like yourself.”

I folded my arms. “And it’s safe here for you because you’re a man?”

“No, it’s . . . this place is like a second home for me,” he said. “Then again my Lucario seems to watch you a lot. He told me a lot about you. I didn’t I’d actually be able to meet you though.”

“Wait you said Lucario told you?” I asked getting excited a little bit. I’ve never met someone who could talk to Lucario as well. Maybe he was an aura guardian as well.

“Yeah, like how you talk to yours,” he said.

I smiled. “I’ve never met another aura guardian,” I said. I grabbed his hands and he blushed. “This is so amazing. I mean I didn’t think anyone else out there was training to become one.”

“Yeah. It’s been in my family for years and now it’s my time to be one,” he said.

“For years?” I asked. “Wow. That’s hard to believe.”

“Not really,” he said. “How did you learn about being an aura guardian?”

“Sir Aaron,” I said. “He’s my role model. I mean he’s the one that made it possible for us to become them right?”

“Yeah,” he said. “Listen you should really should get off of this island.”

“And why’s that?” I asked.

“I can sense something coming here. Something terrible,” he said.

“Let me think, no way,” I said.

He looked a little upset then sighed. “Fine but I am staying close to you,” he said.

“One condition. What’s your name? I’m (Name),” I said. “And this is Lucario.”

“Riley and this is my Lucario,” he said.

After that we went back to my campsite. Riley said it would be better if we didn’t go to him. He was mysterious. And I wasn’t sure if I liked him or not. He was very cautious and wanted me to leave pretty badly. But I wouldn’t. Why could he stay and not me?
I always liked Riley. I mean only in 1 or 2 episodes. He needs more love. You know the drill. I don't own pokemon, Riley or the picture. Picture found on google.
