After all the gym battles I wanted to relax. So I went to the one place in the world I loved and where all my friends were. The burnt tower. I loved to go there ever since I was a child because all the ghost types loved to be there. Even as a small child I was drawn to them. Everyone seemed to hate them and pushed them away. I was pushed away so I guess I felt like be belonged with them.

It was the classic mom was too busy to care because my dad ran out when I was little. I only got in her way so I’d go around town. Everyone knew me from my mom so they’d help out if I got lost or something. One day I wondered off to the burnt tower. No one had stopped me and I got trapped in the basement. I cried and cried to only be comforted by the ghost types that came. After that I always went over and fed and played with them. I never got along with human children but the ghost types didn’t even hesitate to accept me.

Though I was grown up and now somewhat liked humans, I still loved my ghost types more. I knew they’d always be there for me no matter what. I just always had a feeling that humans would betray me more and more. Since I was a gym leader I knew all different types of trainers. Some worst than others. Over the years I learned I loved to watch people. To see what they’d do and try and learn about them. I seemed like a pokémon trying to understand the human world. Hell I was more like a pokémon in my thinking then a human only because I grew up with them more than humans.

As I made my way to the burnt tower I felt something off about it. I couldn’t put my finger on it but I then just kept walking but at a faster rate. If the pokémon were hurt I’d never let myself go. No harm would happen to my friends under my watch. I was at the steps when a little Gastly greeted me. I knew this one she was very shy and never came out here so something had to be up.

I followed her down to the basement when I heard crying. I first saw a backpack and picked it up and went to the crying. I was a girl holding her leg. It was obvious she hurt herself whilst she was down here. She had (hair length) (hair color) and looked to have (eye color) eyes. Her eyes also looked to be fill with fear and tears, obviously.

I went over to her and she panicked but relaxed on seeing I was human. “Are you okay, Miss?” I asked.

She hiccupped so she could talk. “I’m lost and I hurt my ankle,” she said in a soft voice. In a strange way it was rather cute.

“How’d that happen?” I asked trying to calm her down.

“M-My friends dared me to . . . to come here a-and spend an hour here w-when I fell down here and hurt my ankle,” she said threw her tears.

“Easy. Luckily it’s not broken, only sprained. You know you should be here even if dared. I mean it’s pretty dangerous here,” I said.

“Then why are you here?” She asked.

“This is my second home,” I said. “Come on. I’ll take you to my house to get you fixed up.”

After that I picked her up and took her to my house. I wrapped her ankle and gave her some antibiotics. Right now I was making tea for the two of us. I don’t know why but I’ve always loved to drink tea. It really relaxed me so It might relax her as well. I knew she couldn’t go anywhere for awhile so I couldn’t kick her out. I did have a guest room she could use for the night. Maybe that’s how it was going to be today.

That’s the thing. I was a nice guy and did nice things but I only get walked on. After today and tomorrow she wouldn’t remember me. She wouldn’t care about me. I highly doubt she remembered my name. I remembered hers. It was (Name). It was a beautiful name and suited her well.

I came back with the tea in hand and some cookies and placed them down. She looked nervous now. “Tea’s here. Hey, something wrong?” I asked sitting down in front of her since I had two couches facing each other. I also had a fire going that was in-between the couches. “Too hot?”

“I . . . No, it’s not too hot. It’s just I’ve never been in a male’s house. I barely have friends.” She said nervously as she held her tea.

“I wouldn’t call them friends if they made you do that,” I said without even thinking.

“I thought if I did that then they’d like me and they’d be my friend but when I fell down they all laughed and left when I cried out to them,” she said. “You’re the first nice person I’ve met since I moved here. Thank you, Morty.”

I was shocked she really did remember my name and cared. “No problem. I couldn’t let a hurt girl all alone,” I said. “Either way I thought since it’s getting late how about you spend the night here and then I’ll take you to your house tomorrow. Is that alright?”

She blushed. Once again I thought it was cute. There was something very different about this girl but I couldn’t tell what besides her remembering my name and she seemed really sweet and caring. The poor girl was hurt and hanging out with the wrong kind of people. “Y-Yes, that’s alright,” she said still blushing and still nervously. Only now she was messing with her skirt bottom.

I smiled and I notice her blush more. “You’re really cute,” I said. “But why are you so nervous around me?”

“Your smile’s cute and you’re a guy. I’ve never been alone with a guy before,” she said.

“It’s alright. There’s nothing to be nervous about I mean I won’t hurt you or anything. So there’s no reason to panic or be nervous about,” I said. She soon started to cry. “Ahh, it’s okay. You don’t need to cry. I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings. I didn’t mean to.”

She shook her head no. “No,” she said wiping her eyes. “No one’s ever been this nice to me either. You’re really an amazing guy, Morty.” I soon felt myself blushing. I really liked how she said my name. I wasn’t the amazing one she was. I just wish she’d know that herself.

I went over to her and wiped her eyes. “You know you’re cute when you’re not crying right?” I asked her and she blushed even more. “Just relax okay? You’re safe here. But can you promise me something?”

“W-What is it?” she asked.

“Please get new friends. You deserve better than them,” I said. “I mean you’re a very sweet and nice girl. I wouldn’t like to see you in this situation again.”

She nodded and leaned on me. I held her a little. Well more like rubbed her back to calm her down. When she calmed down I took her to the guest room and propped up her leg. She looked rather cute when she was asleep as well.

I now had hope for humans again and was curious about her. I wanted to know more about her. She wasn’t like any one I’ve ever met before and I loved that. Then I’d understand why I like her so much. Or rather I didn’t want to know. Other wise that'd lose it's magic. I hoped everything would work out in the end because I think I might be in love with her.
This wasn't exactly as i planed so i might have a new one coming out with Morty but I still love it. This is for :iconambertruesdale: It's her second commission. i really hope you like this. If not i'll do it again. I also have more stories so i'll be writing more.

I don't own pokemon or the picture. Picture found on google. Story is mine.

I'm trying figure out who the human in the picture is. It came from Pixiv but the artist is Japanese so I can't read what they say on their site. I don't recognize that character and I"m wondering who it is and what game/season etc he's from. Do you know?
