Green X Eevee Reader - part 7

I stayed with Green all day. I was an Eevee for most of it. He was working in his office at the gym and I laid on his lap. He'd pet me occasionally but worked most of the day. He worked so hard. I could tell by how focused he was and how much he was typing.

At about noon it started to rain. Which made me get closer to Green. There were none of those challengers Yellow told me about. I guess today was a day to sit in front of this weird TV like thing.

I got up and went on his desk. Green stopped and looked down at me as I curled up on his desk. "What my lap not comfortable anymore?" I shook my head no. He smiled. "Then why get off of my lap? I was kinda enjoying it."

He was? I looked at the screen. "What worried I haven't working as hard because of you?" He picked me up and said, "Pesky woman." Then he put me back on his lap. "And why not stay there. It's kinda chilly. And I wouldn't want you to get a cold." I laid back down on his lap. And he petted me.

This continued for awhile. Until his typing decreased and then he yawned.

He picked me up and said, "All right. I think it's time for a nap. I literally can't keep my eyes open. So I will take a little nap and then get back to work. Sound good?" I nodded. He smiled. "Alright. Good. Let's take a nap."

He took me over to the couch and put me on his stomach as he laid down. He put his arm behind his head.

It didn't take him long to fall asleep. I transformed back into a human. I sighed. "You tell me to stay on your lap so I wouldn't get a cold but you fall asleep where there's a draft."

I got off of him and went to the closet on the side. He kept a blanket in there. I took it out and then put it back on him.

He rolled to his side to face me. I smiled at how cute he was. He looked completely peaceful and relaxed. So unlike him. I covered him up to his shoulder and then moved some of his auburn hair out of his face.

"(Name)," he said softly.

I gasped and took my hand back. He said my name in his sleep. Meaning he was thinking about me.

Before I transformed back I went and turned off the light. It was kinda dark in here now. Then went under the blanket with him and under his arm. I cuddled up next to him. He was so warm.

I woke up to Green's voice. "Yeah I guess I slept longer than I needed to," he said nervously. "Sorry about that, Cheren."

"No problem. You look like you need it. You're getting plenty of rest and eating properly right?" A male voice asked.

"Yeah," Green said. "Um, you got all the files right?"

"No, I need the one on Eevee yet and then I have them all," the voice said.

I got up and saw Green was talking to the TV thing. I transformed back. "That thing can talk?" I asked.

Green looked at me and then laughed. "No, I'm using a chat. Which allows me to talk to Cheren who is over in Unova. A different region," Green said. "Want to say hello?"

I got up and rubbed my dress down a little. Then went to the TV thing. There was a man on it. He had black hair and blue eyes. He wore a white shirt and a red tie. And with his hair he had a cowlick on the top of his head.

"Um, hi, man in the TV thing," I said.

"Uh, Hello. I take it you're (Name)?" he asked.

"Ah, he moved," I said.

Green laughed. "Yeah it's like he's here only not. And I've told you. This is a computer. Not a TV thing. Also his name is Cheren," he said.

"Cheren?" I asked.

"Yeah," the man asked.

I smiled. "You're kinda cute, too."

"W-What?!" They both asked.

"You can't be serious, (Name)," Green said.

"But it's the truth. All the human's I've met were kinda cute," I said. "So I am serious."

Green pulled me down on his lap. "Alright so I'll send that file and then talk to you later, Cheren," Green said.

"You're jealous? Unlike you," Cheren said.

"I am not!" Green yelled.

"Whatever it takes. Bye, Green," Cheren said. And then the picture of him disappeared.

I touched the screen. "He's gone," I said. "Did he die?"

"No, the chat ended," Green said. "So the connection ended. He's fine in his home."

"Oh," I said sitting back on his lap. He wrapped his arms around me and put his head on my shoulder. "G-Green?"

"I just want to relax a little," he said. "And it seems I'm most relaxed with you." Most relaxed with me?

"But shouldn't you send that file to Cheren?" I asked.

He lifted his head. "Yeah you're right," he said. He took his right hand off of me and then did some things on the computer. Then said, "There. All done." He wrapped his other hand around me and then put his head back down. "Now then let me relax."

"You haven't been sleeping and eat right have you?" I asked.

"Not really," he said.

We stayed like that for a good thirty minutes until he let me go and he went home where as I went back to Yellow's.

When I got there she was cooking some supper. 'Perfect,'  I thought. 'Maybe now she can help me with my plan.'

I went up to her. "Hi, Yellow," I said.

"Oh, welcome back, (Name). How's Green?" She asked.

"About that. He hasn't been eating or sleeping right. So I was wondering if we could make him a bento thingy," I asked her.

"That sounds perfect. We should do that," She said.

We made him rice, berries and some meat. Yellow said Green would love it and I should give it to him tomorrow at about lunch time when he's at the gym.

We ate supper after we made the bento. Red and Blue joined us so Pika was happy with ChuChu. And Yellow was happy with Red here.

So I thought I'd do that. It might help him with not eating right. But how could I help with him not sleeping? Maybe I could use my Eevee form to help him sleep. He slept pretty well when I was an Eevee at the gym.

So if I was an Eevee maybe he was more comfortable and then he could sleep better. I might want to talk to his pokémon and see if they can give me an idea on what to do. Then again Pikachu knew a lot about Green since he and Red were friends.

But looking over to Pikachu he was cuddling next to ChuChu. I didn't want to bug him with that since he was with her. ChuChu did say I should stay away from Pikachu since he was hers.

ChuChu was nice like Yellow but gets very jealous when it comes to Pikachu. Like Yellow was with Red.

"(Name)? Is everything alright?" Blue asked.

I looked up at her.  "Yeah. Sorry. Thinking about if there's something I can do for Green," I said.

"What's wrong with him?" Blue asked all worried.

"He's not sleeping and eating right," I said. "Yellow helped or rather did make him a bento thing. But I have no idea with his sleeping."

"Oh, it's nothing to worry about. Since summer vacation is almost over Green's having a lot of finishing work. He has to get all his work done by the end of summer vacation and hand it into the champion so he can do his work on it," Blue said.

"Yeah and he'll be working easier for about nine months while school is in progress," Yellow said. "I didn't know that's the problem was. I completely forgot about that."

"Oh," I said. "So this is normal?"

"You could say that," Yellow said. "Green's a workaholic and this is one of his busiest times for him. Especially since he always goes above and beyond too."

"Why do that?" I asked.

After a moment of silence Blue said, "I have no idea. He just does."

"Seems counterproductive. He works so hard but doesn't need to. What does he get out of it?" I asked.

"I guess so Red doesn't have to do anything and he has his own work that he wants to get done so he has a peaceful period," Blue said.

"So there's nothing to worry about, (Name)," Yellow said with a smile.

"Can I still give him the bento," I asked.

"Yeah. He still needs to eat right?" she asked. "Besides he'll love it since it is his favorite."

"Alright," I said.

We got done eating and then I helped Yellow wash the dishes like I always did. Then Blue said she had to leave. I didn't really want to be the third wheel, as Blue said I was when Yellow was alone with Red, so I just went to my room since it was late. Humans sure did have weird phrases and words.

I begain to wonder what Green was doing now. Probably working. I was kinda happy I still had his jacket. I should give that back to him tomorrow as well. I curled up.

When I did this I felt like nothing could hurt me. I loved how safe I felt with just his scent alone. So Green made me feel safe. That's one thing I've known for awhile but I always forgot it until I was around him or around his jacket.

I wonder how much he felt the same with me?
